DraftKings takes to the ice with the Nashville Predators
The operator and team see the partnership as a safe way to optimize the ever-expanding need for digital fan engagement.
Predators EVP & Chief Revenue Officer Chris Junghans views the venture as an ideal union between brands:
“As soon as the Tennessee Sports Gaming Act was passed in April, we immediately began our search for an experienced sports betting partner. With legal sports betting now live in Tennessee, we are thrilled to announce our formal relationship with industry-leading DraftKings. Through this multi-year agreement, Predators fans across the state will have access to the GOLD STANDARD of sports betting information technology, which provides a competitive, reliable and responsible platform.”
As part of the agreement, DraftKings will sponsor Bridgestone Arena. Fans will see DraftKings’ promotional content prominently displayed during events.
All regionally broadcast Predators games will integrate virtual signage. Similarly, DraftKings’ lines will be provided on pre-game and in-game radio spots.
The brands will also introduce new digital and social media content. This includes DraftKings takeovers, social media giveaways, and line boosts.
DraftKings expands market domination with major partnerships
This recent partnership with the Predators is far from the only major sports collaboration DraftKings has landed.
The operator’s pursuit of market domination spans across the US.
DraftKings became the official wagering, igaming, and daily fantasy partner of the New York Giants in September. It also became the official daily fantasy and sports betting partner of the Philadelphia Eagles in October.
November was another busy month for the brand. Along with a Detroit Pistons partnership and sponsoring legendary boxer Mike Tyson‘s comeback event, DraftKings debuted its sportsbook in Tennessee on Nov. 1.
Tennessee launched an entirely online market. In the first eight days of Tennessee sports betting, bettors wagered over $27.4 million. It amounted to more than $2.5 million in adjusted gross revenue across the state’s four legalized sportsbooks.
DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz said,
“After recently launching the top-rated DraftKings Sportsbook app in Tennessee, we are thrilled to continue our momentum in the state by announcing our latest team deal with the Nashville Predators. As a result of this collaboration, Predators fans will get the full DraftKings experience both on and off the ice as we look forward to the return of hockey season.”
Preds promos and odds
DraftKings is the third Tennessee operator to pair up with a professional sports team.
BetMGM became the first when it announced a collaboration with the Tennessee Titans in September.
FanDuel then partnered with the Memphis Grizzlies in early November.
The 2021 NHL season will reportedly kick off on Jan. 13, bringing with it enticing new Preds promos from DraftKings’ partnership.
The Predators enter the season ranked fourth in the Central Division of the Western Conference.
DraftKings odds have the Preds sitting at +2500 to win the 2021 NHL Championship.
New Tennessee bettors can receive a first-time deposit bonus of up to $1,000 after registering and downloading the mobile app.
