FanDuel Tennessee promotions and bonus offers
FanDuel Tennessee sportsbook provides a variety of promotional offers to its players.
With multisport parlay insurance, you have to wager a parlay with five or more “legs.” If all the legs of the parlay are correct except for one, you will receive your bet back in site credits. You can use this promo up to four times per day; however, round robins and teasers are excluded.
FanDuel also offers tournaments with bonus prize money. There are set dates when you can earn points from every bet you win on, e.g., table tennis. The player with the most points at the end of the competition will win a share of $10,000. To play, you simply need to opt into the tournament.
The sportsbook utilizes odds boosts, as well.
Is FanDuel legal in Tennessee?
Yes, FanDuel is legal in Tennessee as of Nov. 1, 2020, though it did take a little while to get here.
Tennessee legalized sports betting in May 2019 despite the fact that Gov. Bill Lee refused to sign the bill. He did not veto it, thus allowing the bill to take effect. While online sportsbooks are legal, retail sportsbooks are not.
What sets sports betting in the Volunteer State apart is that the state has hardly any other form of gambling. In fact, the Tennessee Education Lottery Commission is tasked with overseeing and regulating the sports betting industry. Because of these and other issues, it wasn’t until November 2020 that online sportsbooks went live to the public.
One final note, while Tennessee does not prohibit betting on college sports or on local college teams, as some states do, you are not allowed to engage in live in-game betting on NCAA events. Prop bets on individual college players also are illegal, as are any bets relating to college athletes getting injured.

Download the FanDuel TN app
The FanDuel Sportsbook app is available for both Apple and Android mobile devices.
You can download the FanDuel iOS app onto your iPhone or iPad via the sportsbook through our links or by visiting the Apple App Store. Simply search for the “FanDuel Sportsbook and Casino” app to download. There is also a “FanDuel Daily Fantasy Sports” app, which is not the sportsbook.
The FanDuel Android app download requires some hoops to jump through, as it’s not available on the Google Play Store. You have to visit the FanDuel website on your mobile device first to get the app. You then choose the state you are betting from and answer and agree to a few things. Once you complete this one-time process, the site will walk you through the download process.
How to navigate the FanDuel site
The FanDuel website doesn’t have the most aesthetically pleasing interface, though its website is efficient. The header features tabs for “Home,” “Live.” and “Promotions.” These links direct you to the home screen, the live bets and promotions pages.
The login/registration button is also at the top of the page. Once you log in, these change to “My Account” and “Balance” tabs.
“My Account” shows your sportsbook account and bonus money balances. Here is where you see your active bets, transaction history, contact support, and where you can add and withdraw funds. You can deposit money by clicking on “Balance.”
FanDuel has a scrolling section in the middle of the page that shows the promotions and upcoming sporting events.
A sidebar on the left is where you’ll find “Popular Sports.” FanDuel offers a number of popular sports that you can wager on, and you can click on a specific sport to see its available wagers. For example, you can click on the tennis logo to see wagering options for upcoming tennis matches.
Below the popular sports menu is a “Sports A-Z” section that outlines each of the games. Clicking any of these sports will reveal the available bets in the middle of the page.
Some tabs allow you to change what you want to bet. For example, there will be a “method of victory” tab if you click on MMA. It will show moneyline bets, while the victory tab offers prop bets on the specific outcome of the fight.
Below the scrolling block is FanDuel’s betting section. You can select all to see every available bet. If you click the icon of a specific sport, it only shows the available wagers for the selection.
The bets below will show the teams or players along with moneyline wagers. If there are more bets available on that particular game or matchup, you will be able to click “More Wagers” below the moneyline odds.
The right third of the page is your bet slip, which lets you build multiple wagers and confirm your bets. There are standard, teaser, or round robin betting options. Once you click a bet, such as a moneyline wager, it will appear in your bet slip, allowing you to add bets to create a parlay or straight bet on it. You can also view your active and settled bets here.
FanDuel also features an “Odds Boost” section, which shows every bet with boosted odds.
There is another sidebar that includes links to the betting guide, house rules, responsible gaming tips, and customer support.
How to use the FanDuel app
The FanDuel mobile app is essentially a slicker version of the website. It’s easy to navigate and more aesthetically appealing.
The login and join now links are in the top right-hand corner of the app, which transforms into your balance information, just like the website.
Below the header is a row of icons that link to promos and multiple sports. A promotional banner below showcases all the current promos and upcoming events.
Similarly to the website, the remainder of the page showcases betting options. This section leads with the most popular bets, sporting events, and odds boosts.
If you click on the “Popular Sports” option, you can choose to see all the wagers by tapping on the individual icons. This list only shows the moneyline wagers; however, you can find all the betting options by tapping “More Wagers” below the moneyline odds.
The second icon is to see an A-Z list of all the available sports betting options.
The third icon is the bet slip, where you’ll see all of your active and settled bets. Once you select a bet on the main screen, you will go here to place a bet. There are three sections on the bet slip for standard, teaser, and round robin bets.
The last icon is for your account balances. Here, you can deposit or withdraw money from this page.
Other links to click here include responsible gaming, active bets, transaction history, and support.
You’ll find a home button in the footer.
Best features of the FanDuel Sportsbook app?
FanDuel’s sportsbook app is available for free for Apple devices and Android ones, too. Let’s dive into some of our favorite features it has to offer.
For starters it’s great to have an app that functions and looks almost exactly the same on iOS, Android or whether you are using FanDuel’s website. A lot of us out there have both Apple and Android products, or maybe you’re stuck using someone else’s sometimes. Either way, not having to learn different systems is a major positive.
Obviously it’s nice to have FanDuel work the same across various platforms, but it wouldn’t matter if it didn’t function efficiently. Fortunately the sportsbook works like a charm. It’s easy to find the game you’re looking for, and having your bet slip on the side of the screen means always being able to see the value of your bets, which is especially great when creating parlays.
We also like how FanDuel has multiple spots to access its current promotions page. There are constantly new promos, some of them only lasting a day, so being able to easily check and see what’s new is a must-have feature.
And finally when it comes to betting features we love, FanDuel Sportsbook’s single-game parlay is the runaway winner. Some sportsbooks are starting to follow its lead in this area, but FanDuel is still one of the few, and we think it does it best. Single-game parlays are exactly what they sound like: You can create parlays for single games. Pick the over/under, spread, moneyline or prop bets and monitor all of them while watching just one game … genius!
How could FanDuel Sportsbook improve?
FanDuel does a lot of things the right way, but there still are a few areas we think the sportsbook could improve on, such as:
- Rewards program: The biggest area that FanDuel Sportsbook is really falling short in is the absence of any type of rewards or loyalty program. Other sportsbooks reward customers with bonus bets for making a certain number of wagers or for betting a certain amount of money. FanDuel, on the other hand, does not do anything along those lines. Yes, it’s got a lot of promos constantly running, but why not create some type of FanDuel rewards program to incentivize bettors to wager at the sportsbook, while at the same time rewarding your best and most loyal players?
- Eliminate the opt-in: This complaint is not exclusive to FanDuel by any means, but we would love to see it and all sportsbooks stop requiring players to opt in to promotions. While experienced bettors understand how the opt-in works and rarely have issues with it, new bettors might not be as fortunate. If they see an offer advertised online or in an email, they unfortunately can make their bets without opting in and thus they miss out on the promo offer. Instead, just simply make it that all customers are automatically opted into all FanDuel promotions and offers.
- Search bar: OK, this is a very minor quibble, but a search bar still would be a nice addition on the FanDuel Sportsbook app and website. If you’re just betting on major sports and teams, you might never need this feature. But if, for example, you are trying to see if there’s a line on the East Tennessee State or Austin Peay football game, a search bar would save a lot of time and hassle. And you still could use it when looking for all the bets currently available for the Predators, Grizzlies and Titans.
Betting options at FanDuel Tennessee
FanDuel offers all the standard betting options, including moneyline wagers, point spreads, totals (over/unders), teaser and parlay betting.
Futures bets are available, as well. These types of wagers allow you to bet on something that will happen in the future. For example, you can bet if the Kansas City Chiefs will win the next Super Bowl, or if the Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback will win the MVP award for the upcoming season.
FanDuel offers prop bets, as well. For example, you could wager on who will score the first touchdown of any given NFL game, or if the Atlanta Hawks‘ starting point score will score more or less than 36.5 points in the NBA.
Props bets are not available for collegiate sports.
FanDuel Sportsbook offers odds boosts, which give you better odds on a specific bet. For example, if the Los Angeles Lakers were +150 to win a game, you may be able to take them at +210 to win that game with an odds boost. Odds boosts are common on parlays.
Sports you can bet on at FanDuel Sportsbook
FanDuel doesn’t offer as many niche sports as some other sportsbooks, but there are plenty of options, including professional and collegiate sports. Be advised that, while you can bet on collegiate sports, live betting and prop betting on individual player performance is expressly forbidden by TN law.
Here is a list of every sport that FanDuel offers to Tennessee bettors:
- Baseball
- Basketball (NBA and NCAA)
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Cycling
- Darts
- Football (NFL and NCAA)
- Golf
- Hockey
- MMA
- Soccer
- Table tennis
- Tennis
Tennessee teams you can bet on
The legalization of sports betting in Tennessee means you finally are able to bet on pro teams like the Titans, Grizzlies, and Predators, while also getting to wager on college squads like the Volunteers and Commodores, among others. Below is an overview of the Tennessee teams you are able to bet on at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Starting off with the professional team that has called Tennessee home the longest, and that’s the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. The Titans moved to Tennessee in 1997 after leaving Houston. They were known as the Tennessee Oilers for two years before being renamed the Titans in 1999. The Titans have reached the Super Bowl once since the move, losing to the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXIV.
The year after the Titans came to town, the Nashville Predators joined the NHL. The Predators missed the playoffs their first five seasons in Nashville, but have only missed them three times since. The Preds made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final in 2017 before losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games. Predators games, and all other NHL games can be bet on using the FanDuel app.
Then in 2001, the NBA’s Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis and became the Memphis Grizzlies. Success has been tough to come by so far, as the Grizzlies have only advanced out of the first round of the playoffs three times in 19 seasons. Though the Grizzlies did reach the Western Conference Finals in 2013 before getting swept by the San Antonio Spurs. On the FanDuel Sportsbook app you can bet on all Grizzlies games and those of the other 29 NBA teams, as well. Both pregame and live betting options are available.
The final Tennessee pro team you can bet on at FanDuel is Nashville SC in Major League Soccer. Nashville played its first regular season game Feb. 29, 2020, losing to Atlanta United FC. The team’s first win game came Aug. 12 against FC Dallas. FanDuel Sportsbook has live and pregame betting options for all MLS games.
As for NCAA games that you can bet on, FanDuel has odds for college football and men’s college basketball.
For football, that means you are able to bet on any of the four FBS teams from Tennessee: the Memphis Tigers, Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt Commodores.
There also are six FCS football squads in Tennessee: the Austin Peay Governors, Chattanooga Mocs, East Tennessee State Buccaneers, Tennessee State Tigers, Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles and UT Martin Skyhawks. At FanDuel Sportsbook you will be able to bet on some of these teams’ games, but, based on their opponents each week, lines will not always be available.
As for NCAA men’s basketball, all the teams listed above will be available to wager on most of the time, as well as two additional teams. Both the Belmont Bruins and Lipscomb Bison have basketball teams, but not football squads.
And remember that live betting and prop bets involving individual performances are not legal on college games.
FanDuel futures bets
FunDuel’s futures markets across all the major sports are pretty much exactly what you would want to see from a Tennessee sportsbook. For this section, we will go over the types of futures bets you can expect to be able to make on the local teams using the FanDuel app.
As is the case with most things in the sports world, football is king, and that’s true of FanDuel’s NFL futures market, too. You can place futures wagers on the Titans and all NFL teams to make the playoffs, win their conference or division and win the Super Bowl. There also are over/under bets for a team’s regular season wins. And as long as there still is an unbeaten and/or winless team you can bet on the chances someone goes 16-0 or 0-16. FanDuel online sportsbook also has player futures, including betting on the regular season MVP and Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year. Finally, there are futures for which player will lead the league in passing yards, rushing yards and total receptions.
In the NHL your choices are smaller, but there still are plenty of futures markets at FanDuel. You can wager on the Predators to win the Stanley Cup title, and there will be odds for division and conference winners, too. When it comes to individual futures, it is possible that your only options will be picking the regular season and postseason MVPs.
If you’re hoping to make futures bets on the Grizzlies and the rest of the NBA, FanDuel Sportsbook in Tennessee has you covered. You can bet on which team will win the Larry O’Brien Trophy or which team will win its respective divisions and conference titles. And just like in the NHL, your only player future bets could be for the regular and NBA Finals MVP award winners.
Currently FanDuel does not have futures available for MLS, so you are not able to pick Nashville SC to win the MLS Cup on the futures market. That obviously could change, though.
The college futures markets are much smaller for both football and basketball.
In football, the futures markets on FanDuel are for the overall national champion and individual conference winners. That means you can bet on Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. But even those teams might not be listed if the odds of them winning the overall title are too long.
In men’s basketball, FanDuel has futures markets for winning the NCAA title and for reaching the Final Four during March Madness. As was the case in football, the number of Tennessee basketball teams with futures odds on them could be pretty small because the others simply aren’t considered to have even remote chances to reach the Final Four. That easily could change though if any of the local teams are having a good season and definitely would change if they make the Big Dance.

Is FanDuel the best sportsbook in Tennessee?
With sports betting being so new in the Volunteer State, it really is impossible to proclaim a best overall sportsbook at this point.
However, we do feel confident enough to say that based on what FanDuel Sportsbook has done in other markets throughout the US, it is one of the best sportsbooks in the state.
FanDuel has great offers for new and existing players alike. The sportsbook’s lines are consistently among the best in the industry. And the FanDuel Apple/Android app is also among the best in the sports betting business.
All-in-all there’s a whole lot to like about FanDuel Sportsbook in Tennessee.
