Titans Look To Reassert Division Dominion In Week 3 Game Against The Colts

Posted on September 20, 2021 - Last Updated on June 26, 2024

The Tennessee Titans return to Nissan Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 26 for a Week 3 home game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Early sportsbook odds for this division rivalry position Tennessee as the clear favorite.

NFL Week 2 sets the stage with surprise upsets

The Titans enter Week 3 of the NFL season reeling from an excruciatingly close matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday. Tennessee ultimately walked away with a 33-30 win, balancing out the scales after a Week 1 38-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Colts, on the other hand, started the season with a whimper, losing to the Seahawks 28-16 in Week 1. They went on to suffer a 27-24 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 that resulted in a late-game ankle injury for QB Carson Wentz.

Now, the Colts hope to avoid their third loss of the season as they travel to Nashville to face the defending AFC South champs.

Titans favored over Colts in Week 3 odds

Since 1970, the Titans and Colts have competed against each other 53 times. Indianapolis has traditionally made the most of those matchups, claiming 35 wins over Tennessee’s 18 victories.

Going into this Week 3 matchup, however, sportsbook odds predict a different outcome.

Tennessee’s moneyline is situated at , while Indianapolis has longer odds.

During their 12 total faceoffs since 2015, the two teams have averaged a total of 53 points per game and a spread of over 11 points per game.

In this current matchup, sportsbooks favor the Titans over the Colts by points.

Additionally, the over/under for this game is set at total points.

AFC South odds also favor Titans over Colts

Indianapolis may boast nine AFC South division titles, two conference championship wins, and one Super Bowl victory, but faith in the Colts has faltered substantially according to upcoming game lines. Current AFC South odds tell a similar story.

Not only do the Titans and Colts share an extensive history, but they also became division rivals in 2002 when the AFC South was born. Tennessee trails behind the Colts with three division wins, one AFC Championship trophy, and zero Super Bowl titles.

Nonetheless, sportsbooks feel the Titans have turned a new page. In this chapter, Tennessee reigns over the AFC South for a second-consecutive year.

NFL Week 3 sportsbook promos

Bettors who wagered on the Titans to pull off an underdog victory last week celebrated a substantial payday. This was especially true for those who took advantage of one or more of last week’s sportsbook promotions.

While moneyline odds might not be quite as appealing now that Tennessee is favored, sportsbooks are serving up a new round of promotions to help sweeten the pot.

At DraftKings TN, bettors can opt in for their NFL Same Game Parlay promo. With this, bettors can receive a bonus bet of up to $25 if their same game parlay wager loses.

FanDuel is running a free to play Hi-Lo contest where users can select their predictions for the highest- and lowest-scoring NFL teams across various stat categories. Players can enter for free every Sunday for a chance to win $5,000. Those who select every pick correctly also have the chance to win a $1 million bonus prize.

The Free NFL Jerseys For The People promotion continues at Caesars Sportsbook from now until the end of September. Bettors who sign up and place $100 or more in qualifying NFL wagers will receive a $150 gift card to use toward an NFL jersey of their choice.

The days of this offer are numbered, though. This is the last full week of football action bettors can take advantage of before the promo ends on Sept. 30.
