The Tennessee Titans are on a five-game win streak as they return home in Week 10 to face the New Orleans Saints.
Volunteer State sportsbooks favor the Titans to continue their dominion over the AFC East and extend their victory run to six games.
Titans reign supreme even without King Henry
Those who thought the Titans were only as good as their star running back were in for a rude awakening in Week 9.
Derrick Henry, the NFL’s reigning Offensive Player of the Year, broke a bone in his foot during Tennessee’s previous Week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t skip a beat, though. He traded one legend for another by immediately signing veteran running back Adrian Peterson to the team.
This new lineup addition, combined with the recent throwing success of QB Ryan Tannehill and Tennessee’s newfound defensive efforts, have played a major role so far in balancing out the loss of Henry.
Sportsbooks favored the Rams by 7.5-points going into Sunday’s game. But the Titans ultimately managed an impressive 28-16 victory, proving this team holds strong value even without Henry’s participation.
Peterson became a quick asset by recording 21 yards and a touchdown during his first appearance with the team. And wide receiver A.J. Brown was another player to shine in Henry’s absence, gaining 42 yards off his five receptions.
Titans vs. Saints Week 10 betting odds
The Saints enter Week 10 carrying a 5-3 season record and are ranked second in the NFC South. Despite being seven-point home favorites, they suffered a tough Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Tennessee sportsbooks position the Titans with a slight home field advantage over the Saints, setting Tennessee’s moneyline at odds and New Orleans at odds.
The Titans aren’t expected to win by much though, as the spread sits at points.
Sportsbooks don’t predict this to be a particularly high-scoring game either, as each team’s defense has played a significant role in their seasons. The over/under is set at total points.
Tennessee games have averaged 52 points per game this season, while Saints games have generated slightly less than 45 points per game.
