Festivities extend through two weeks of competition, concluding on Sunday, Aug. 8 and featuring events from 46 different sports.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics futures betting odds

DraftKings Tennessee beat the rest of the sports betting field to the chase by releasing 2020 Olympic odds before any other book. Currently, Action 24/7 is the only other operator with odds out on the games.

Thus far, both books have already released futures lines for the big event. Individual competition lines will go live in the coming weeks.

Fans can wager both on which country will win the most gold medals as well as which country will win the most medals in general. Currently, Team USA tops both of those charts.

The US holds the record for the most gold medals in the history of the Summer Olympics, and it has -1200 odds of prolonging those honors this year.

Betting on baseball at Tokyo Olympics

Baseball returns to the Olympic schedule for the first time in 13 years, and Team USA is sporting an impressive roster for the reveal.

Miami Marlins infielder Eddy Alvarez is set to become the 11th American to participate in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, having silver medaled in short track speed skating in 2014.

Past MLB All-Stars on the 24-man roster include pitchers Scott Kazmir, David Robertson, and Edwin Jackson.

Infielder Todd Frazier is also on the team.

The first pitch of international baseball competition will be thrown on Wednesday, July 28 with an opening round from the Dominican Republic versus Japan.

Odds for the game are not yet live, though DraftKings predicts an overall win for Japan in the series, situating them at +175 odds of taking home the gold. Team USA falls into third position with +350 odds of winning.

Basketball at the 2020 Olympics comes in two different forms. First is the traditional five-player men’s and women’s matchups.
