Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier face off against each other this Saturday during UFC 257.

The last time McGregor and Poirier met each other in the octagon was back in 2014. The fight concluded in a TKO from McGregor in under two minutes, 1:46 to be exact.

As the underdog in this matchup, Poirier is ranked No. 7 pound-for-pound and has a career MMA record of 26-6.
In the years proceeding the 2014 matchup, McGregor has won six fights and lost two. He has basked in the limelight and become one of UFC’s biggest names. He also became the first UFC fighter to hold two simultaneous belts – lightweight and featherweight.
McGregor has an overall 22-4 MMA record and is the No. 12 pound-for-pound fighter.
Although McGregor had planned to fight three events during 2020, COVID-19 restrictions put a stop to his plans. He fought for a total of 40 seconds during the entire year.
In his first fight of 2021, McGregor looks to get back on his feet and reestablish his position as one of the best fighters in the UFC.
Odds for the fight have swung even more in McGregor’s favor in the weeks leading up to the starting bell.
