According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Tennessee Titans are a top prospect to land wide receiver Julio Jones in an upcoming trade.
But those lines are nowhere to be found at Tennessee sportsbooks.
Tennessee sportsbooks omit Julio Jones trade odds
As a bettor, you may be intrigued by the excitement surrounding recent trade odds. Especially when those odds suggest a big name wide receiver could be making his way to the Titans.
But much to the disappointment of Tennesseans, those betting options aren’t available on Tennessee sportsbooks.
On May 24, Jones opened up with +175 odds of being snagged by the Titans.
Those odds have since fallen to +300, behind the New England Patriots (+250) and tied with the Atlanta Falcons (+300).
But why can’t you find these odds on on FanDuel Tennessee Sportsbook? As of now, wagering on trades is not a permitted market in the Volunteer State.
And that’s not the only market that isn’t available.
Those looking to wager on Mike Vrabel being crowned Coach of the Year will also come up empty handed. Vrabel’s +2500 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook position him behind 12 coaches and tied with 6 other ones. However, just like trade odds, the Coach of the Year market isn’t one you will find in Tennessee.
So while you can root for Vrabel to take home the title, you won’t be able to put any money on it unless you travel out of state.
NFL Player Futures options available in Tennessee
Fortunately, there are still a few markets available for Tennessee bettors to wager on the future success of Titans players.
Titans running back Derrick Henry and quarterback Ryan Tannehill both sit at +5000 odds of landing the MVP title this year.
Last year, the Associated Press named Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers the 2020 MVP. Rodgers received 44 votes, becoming only the sixth player in NFL history to win the title three times.
Henry took home the Associated Press award for Offensive Player of the Year last year, but he didn’t receive a single vote for MVP.
NFL futures markets depend on the sportsbook
Each Tennessee sportsbook offers a slightly different variety of futures action for individual NFL players.
Action 24/7 and TwinSpires both offer MVP wagering, but the options stop there.
FanDuel offers two player futures options: MVP and Rookie of the Year.
Markets at BetMGM include MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and Defensive Player of the Year.
Selections at DraftKings Tennessee are more extensive. Bettors can wager on:
- Regular Season MVP
- Offensive Rookie of the Year
- Defensive Rookie of the Year
- Defensive Player of the Year
- Comeback Player of the Year
The available betting markets could change next year once the Sports Wagering Advisory Council takes over as the regulator in the state. The council will have the ability to adjust the sports betting rules and regulations as it sees fit, and expanding betting markets could be one such initiative.
Until then, bettors will have to wait it out and take advantage of the other Titans betting options available in Tennessee.
