Posted on September 2, 2021 - Last Updated on March 6, 2024

College football season is underway, and Tennessee sportsbooks are offering plenty of ways to wager on each team’s debut.

There is no shortage of football action to catch this weekend, including The Tennessee Vols in their home opener tonight against Bowling Green.

Sportsbooks are celebrating the return of football with a bunch of college football betting promotions you won’t want to miss.

College football betting promos

In celebration of the first week of college football, Tennessee sportsbooks are gifting bettors with various bonuses to use on Week 1 games.

DraftKings Hammer the Over promotion

DraftKings Tennessee is running a Hammer the Over promotion on the Clemson vs Georgia game on Sept. 4For every 2,500 customers who wager on the over, the point total will decrease by half a point.

The number has already sunk down to single digits, and it will only get lower by the time kickoff happens.

Last season, Clemson averaged 34.5 points per game and Georgia averaged 32.3 points per game, so this promotion is a no brainer.

The maximum wager for this promo is $25, and it’s available to both new and current users.

Wagering on college football

Traditional markets for betting on college football, such as the moneyline, spread, or total, are available in Tennessee.

Bettors can also wager on the outcome of each half or quarter individually, as well as the:

  • Division winner
  • Conference winner
  • To make College Football Playoffs
  • National Championship winner
  • Heisman Trophy winner

Due to Tennessee’s particular statutes, wagering on individual college athletes is not permitted, nor is in-game betting.

So you won’t be able to wager on your favorite college quarterback’s passing yards during a game.

Tennessee Vols futures betting

Betting on the overall outcome of the Vols’ season is also an option.

FanDuel sets Tennessee’s over/under for regular season wins at 6.5, favoring the under with -195 odds. The over, on the other hand, sits at +165 odds.

BetMGM sets the total wins even lower, predicting the Vols will win less than 6 games. The under is set at -125 odds, while the over takes +105 odds.
