BetMGM partners with Richard Childress Racing

BetMGM – whose sportsbook is currently operational in 10 states including Tennessee – was originally crowned an authorized NASCAR gaming partner back in August 2020.

Now through RCR, BetMGM has become the team’s official sports betting operator, securing primary sponsorship for select 2021 NASCAR Cup Series races.

Richard Childress, RCR chairman and CEO, looks forward to the partnership, saying:

“BetMGM is at the forefront of the sports betting and online gaming industry and Richard Childress Racing can certainly relate to their pioneering vision. This innovative relationship will provide opportunities to collaborate in new and groundbreaking ways.”

BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost is likewise eager for the opportunity.

“Richard Childress Racing is one of the most respected and formidable teams in motorsports. Together we will develop compelling marketing opportunities and activations that introduce the BetMGM sports betting brand to NASCAR fans worldwide.”

The agreement officially launches this month with the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 14.

BetMGM’s logo will be featured on RCR’s No. 3 Chevrolet driven by Austin Dillon along with the No. 8 Chevrolet driven by Tyler Reddick.

The back story of Richard Childress Racing

RCR has a rich history in the performance-driven racing market.

Established in 1969, it became the first racing team to secure championship wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Truck Series, and the Daytona 500.

Boasting over 50 years of racing history, RCR drivers have logged over 200 victories and 16 championship titles.

Of these wins, six were NASCAR Cup Series wins by the renowned Dale Earnhardt.

The team’s current roster includes:

  • No. 2 Chevrolet – Myatt Snider
  • No. 3 Chevrolet – Austin Dillon
  • No. 8 Chevrolet – Tyler Reddick

Twenty-six year old Myatt Snider is RCR’s full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series racer.

Austin Dillon is a two-time NASCAR champion, the 2017 Coca-Cola 600 winner, and the 2018 Daytona 500 champion.

Tyler Reddick is a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion.

With the Daytona 500 right around the corner, sportsbooks have posted odds for the event.

BetMGM’s current Daytona 500 odds have Dillon at +3000 and Reddick at +4000.

The team would love nothing more than to secure a win during the first weekend of the partnership.

Upcoming racing events around Tennessee

For NASAR action in and around Tennessee, fans need look no further than the acclaimed Bristol Motor Speedway.

The half-mile raceway turns into a dirt track for the first half of 2021.

Short-track racers take to the circuit March 15-20 for the Bristol Dirt Nationals. Then on March 27-28, the speedway hosts the NASCAR Cup and Camping World Truck Series.

These dirt track racing events mark the venue’s first dirt events since the World of Outlaws in 2001. As a result, the speedway’s grandstand has already reached capacity for in-person attendance at these events.

Nonetheless, fans can take part in the excitement as soon as sportsbooks post odds for the events.
